It is essential to put together a good team that is excited about green design and will work together to assure that energy efficiency, smart resource use, and safe, renewable building materials will be incorporated into the entire design process, not addressed as an afterthought at the end. The final result will be a beautiful home that sits thoughtfully on the land, welcoming and inspiring the owners every time they step inside. We create eco-friendly luxury interiors for our clients homes to improve the quality of their lives and protect our fragile planet. All aspects of a building interact with each other, and decisions made in the beginning can determine the success of the completed venture. Bringing an interior designer into your team early in the design process can add value to your project even before construction begins. Especially when designing a home with environmentally friendly goals, an experienced and knowledgable designer will guide you through the decisions and introduce materials that will enhance the quality of life for every occupant. We research, explore and present materials and products that are incredibly beautiful, highly functional and yet offer an ecologically responsible solution. Pricing Initial Interview and meeting - There is no charge for the initial interview, whether it is at your home or our office. This is our time for getting to know you and understand your project. It is also when we explain our design process, show other projects we've completed and the services we offer so you can make your decision from an informed position. Design solutions are not presented at this time. This meeting typically lasts approximately one hour. Design Fees and Agreement - Each project is unique and thus the design fees vary depending on needs, such as work to be involved, and/or amount of customization; however, the minimum design fee is $15,000. All fees are clearly outlined in our letter of agreement, describing the scope of services for the project, and the number of meetings, revisions, selections, etc. that are included for that fee. Purchasing - If appropriate to the scope of services we will include a purchasing agreement as part of our letter of agreement The presented price on all items purchased through Sesshu Design Associates will be shown on a proposal specifying the deposits required; balance is due before delivery.
